Constipation

Constipation is the accumulation of old hardened feces that is so tightly packed together that the bowel movements are infrequent and incomplete, causing much difficulty and strain, producing dry, hardened feces.

The hardened feces will then stick to the walls of the colon and inhibit proper nutrient absorption. Since most people eat about 2 to 3 times a day, it is most natural of us to eliminate 2 to 3 times a day.  Our body goes through a regular cycle and if the circulation is interrupted then it could lead to constipation.   This means that the slower transit time will cause buildup of toxins that get absorbed through the colon wall and seep into the blood stream. This self-poisoning can cause everything from headaches to autoimmune disorders.

Toxic buildup will reduce the absorption of beneficial nutrients that support energy and vitality.  The lack of these beneficial nutrients can lead to fatigue and often depression.  Some other signs of Constipation may often be headaches, Diverticulosis, bad breath, gas, arthritis, brain fog, obesity, cramping during your PMS, indigestion, bloating and body odor. Chronic constipation has also been linked to more serious disorder like cancer, according to the American Gastroenterological Association.  An article published in England found that "men who suffer from constipation are 2.7 times more likely to get diagnosed with the progressive brain disease Parikinson's." In order to achieve a healthier lifestyle its good to start with supporting an optimum bowel function and promote two to three healthy bowel movements a day.

Make sure that you drink at least half of your body weight in ounces in water, reduce or eliminate the consumption of refined starches, sugars and processed foods. Switch over to fruits and vegetables.  Digestive enzymes will enhance digestion and maximize nutrient absorption from food that you need.  Try to exercise at least three times a week for thirty minutes each time and maintain a normal diet and sleep schedule during travel to keep your circulation moving constantly.  Even try to make some bathroom time after each meal and try keeping the feet raised while you're on the toilet to properly support the bowel.

Colon Hydrotherapy is highly recommended to fully cleanse the colon.  This involves repeated infusion of filtered, warm water into the colon to help tone the bowel and promote healthy elimination.
